Biography
| Dr Kelly McClymont is a specialist histopathologist based at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology's main laboratory at Bowen Hills. He graduated with Honours from The University of Queensland Medical School in 2003, having entered medicine after gaining a degree in modern languages for which he was awarded the University Medal. Dr McClymont went on to further training in pathology and histopathology with rotations at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, The Royal Brisbane Hospital, Nambour Hospital, the John Tonge Centre and SNP. He gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2009. Dr McClymont joined SNP as a consultant in 2010. He is published in each of his areas of specialty and has presented at conferences in Australia and internationally. He takes a keen interest in educating new generations of pathologists. From 2013 to 2016, he held the position of supervisor of registrar training in anatomic pathology for the practice, successfully guiding many trainees through examinations to fellowship. He was previously an associate lecturer in pathology at The University of Queensland. Dr McClymont is a founding member, and former Queensland state representative of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Pathology Society. He was part of the organising committee for the 3rd annual meeting of this group in 2017. He is also a member of the Renal Pathology Society; the Australasian Dermatopathology Society; and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. | |
