Dr Sarah Sim is a histopathologist based at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology's main laboratory in Brisbane. She has experience in a broad range of general surgical pathology and has developed particular interest in pathology of the lung and lymph node.

Dr Sim graduated from The University of Queensland in 2008 before progressing to internship and Junior House Officer positions at Caboolture, Redcliffe and The Prince Charles Hospitals.

In 2010, she started pathology training with SNP before rotating through a number of Brisbane laboratories including The Royal Brisbane Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Mater Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital where she developed an interest in lung pathology. While training as a registrar, she completed a six-month research posting at The University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research in breast pathology under Professor Sunil Lakhani. During this time she contributed to a chapter: 'The Future Role of Molecular Profiling in Small Breast Samples and Personalised Medicine' in the text book, A Comprehensive Guide to Core Needle Biopsies of the Breast; and she was the co-author of the paper Intratumour Heterogeneity in the progression to Breast Cancer Metastasis.

Dr Sim returned to SNP in 2016. She was awarded a Fellowship of The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in the same year.
