Kawana laboratory

Based at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH) our laboratory provides a 24-hour on-call service to the hospital as well as delivering pathology services to general practitioners, specialists, hospitals and day surgeries across the Sunshine Coast. 

• Hospital in-patient work is all performed urgently while also being able to perform routine haematology, microbiology, biochemistry, coagulation and blood bank onsite.
• Hospital ward rounds are performed daily from 6.00am to 10.00pm with an on-call service provided out of these hours.. 
• A collection centre at the laboratory services outpatients.
• Mobile collectors provide services to nursing homes and frail residents of the Sunshine Coast community.
