Lismore laboratory

Based at St Vincent's Private Hospital, we provide services to general practitioners, specialists and day surgeries within the Northern Rivers region of NSW, and a 24-hour on-call service to St Vincent's Private Hospital.  

• Routine haematology, microbiology, biochemistry, coagulation, blood bank and histopathology are all performed in the laboratory.
• We employ more than 100 local staff and have collection centres located throughout the Northern Rivers.
• Our three local histopathologists lead the Lismore laboratory scientific team providing a rapid, expert pathology service to the community.
• We are committed to training new generations of medical scientists and medical practitioners. Our pathologists and scientists are actively engaged in training students.
