Tugun laboratory

Based at the John Flynn Hospital with a catchment that encompasses the populations of the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast and Northern Rivers, we provide a 24 hour, 365 day service.  We play a key role in the region’s healthcare as the only large private pathology provider.

• Our three full-time histopathologists report a full range of surgical histopathology including pulmonary, urological, gastrointestinal, dermatological, gyneacological and breast specimens.  They also perform frozen sections, working closely with surgeons.
• Our pathologists are active members of their local community attending regular interdisciplinary clinical meetings with colleagues to review and discuss cases.
