Central laboratory

Our main laboratory in Bowen Hills, Brisbane is among the most advanced in the world and designed with flexible open spaces to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between our specialist pathologists and scientists, providing them with the environment and resources they need to solve the complex diagnoses required of modern medicine.

Established in 2016, the lab is centrally located at the junction of Brisbane’s main arterial road and tunnel system with easy access to key roads and public transport as well as hospitals and other health and tertiary institutions – it is within close proximity of the Herston Medical Research Precinct.  It is also easily accessible from Brisbane Airport where thousands of specimens arrive daily from regional centres and from other states for reference testing.
