eOrder and Telehealth - Paper request forms no longer required
We are pleased to advise that SNP no longer requires paper request forms when the following criteria are met:
- The pathology request arises during a telehealth consultation
- The pathology request is an eOrder*
- The word ‘Telehealth’ is included in the clinical notes
- A valid mobile phone number for the patient (from the patient’s record in the PMS) is in the eOrder
For assistance, please contact your Doctor IT Services team on (07) 3377 8611.
*Note: Please avoid free-hand test selection as it may lead to incorrect test processing
Our new Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring patient guide
We have added a new step-by-step online guide to help patients navigate their way through what to expect when having an Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) test performed with us.
Negative COVID-19 SMS service now available
SNP has implemented an SMS notification service* to send negative COVID-19 results directly to patients. This service is in addition to the already established report delivery process for referring and copy-to doctors.
The SMS will advise the patient to continue to follow any quarantine directive in place and to contact their referring medical practitioner for further assistance and advice.
The COVID-19 negative SMS notification service operates 24 hours a day.
*Service available when the referring practitioner has provided a mobile contact number for the patient.
