COVID-19 testing for freight and logistics operators
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is available to assist freight and logistics operators with rolling 3-day and 7-day testing cycles.
We offer self-collection kits which provide convenience and flexibility for freight workers on the road.
For workers who prefer to present in-person for testing, please refer to www.snp.com.au/covid for a full list of our walk-in COVID-19 and respiratory virus collection centres.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
SNP supplies self-collection kits free of charge to your nominated delivery address.
SNP has not set minimum or maximum order quantities for the supply of self-collection kits. However, we will contact you if we anticipate any delays in supplying your order.
Standing orders may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact SNP to discuss the preferred arrangement for your company.
The request form is required to be completed in full with the driver's Medicare number, name, sex, date of birth, address and mobile phone number.
Medicare gives Australian residents access to healthcare, including pathology testing, which is a specialised health service.
After swab collection
Please keep the swab at ambient temperature and deliver to an SNP collection centre as soon as possible after collection. This will ensure the specimen is viable for testing and avoid delays in results reporting.
Self-collected swabs may be dropped off at any SNP collection centre across Queensland and Northern NSW. Please visit www.snp.com.au/locations to find your nearest collection centre, including address and opening hours.
No, we do not have any locations for after-hours delivery, however there are a number of SNP collection centres with extended opening hours. Alternatively, you may arrange delivery to one of our laboratories or a nominated collection centre during opening hours.
Yes, an SMS is sent to the driver's mobile number noted on the request form on receipt of the swab at our collection centre or laboratory.
Results generally take between 24 to 48 hours once the swabs are received at our central laboratory in Brisbane. Negative results are sent via SMS to the mobile number provided on the request form.
