For additional test information, SNP recommends visiting Pathology Tests Explained for education and information on Australian pathology tests to help patients better understand their health care.

Allergy testing

Allergies are very common in Australia and they are on the increase in both adults and children. About one in three people will be affected at some time in their lives.

At SNP we offer a wide range of allergy testing including common allergens, nuts, mammalian meats, as well as specialised recombinant allergen testing.

Antenatal testing

Whether this is your first pregnancy or you’ve done it all before, pathology tests will play a vital role in your care and progress. As your pregnancy progresses and your baby develops, you can expect to have some relevant tests which are outlined in this section.

Cardiology testing

As one of Australia’s largest pathology practices, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology provides a range of cardiac investigation and diagnostic services including Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, Holter monitoring and electrocardiograms (ECGs).

Cervical screening test

On December 1, 2017, cervical cancer screening in Australia changed from two-yearly Pap testing to five-yearly HPV testing.

All women aged 25 years and over are eligible for regular HPV testing as part of the new Cervical Screening Program.

Menopause refers to the time when a woman’s menstrual periods have stopped for 12 consecutive months or more.

Establishing that menopause has occurred or that your symptoms are associated with another condition may require your doctor to refer you for pathology tests.

My Health Record

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, in collaboration with referring doctors, is now able to upload pathology results to the My Health Record system.

Warfarin care

The aim of our Warfarin Care program is to manage your warfarin therapy safely and effectively. This requires close cooperation between you, your doctor, and Warfarin Care.

This page covers important information about your warfarin medication and your responsibilities as a patient in our program. Please read the information carefully.
